Warranty Coverage
DeMarini offers an exceptional warranty to secure your investment. If under warranty, our policy is to provide you with repair or one-time replacement of your bat within one year from the date of purchase.
The DeMarini Factory Warranty covers the following three items - there are no other warranties.
A severely dented bat from normal use and occurring one year from the date of purchase.
Structural cracking from normal use for one year from the date of purchase. Paint chipping or cosmetic imperfections are not covered under the warranty.
The end-plug may be repaired or replaced if found defective and will not affect your warranty.
The warranty applies when the bat is used under normal conditions, and does not apply to altered bats or damage related to accident, misuse, improper care, overuse, or negligence. If DeMarini agrees that your bat is defective it will be either repaired or replaced in its discretion.
Please note: Items not covered include but are not limited to: grip replacement, abuse or misuse, bats used in commercial batting cages.
DeMarini Sports reserves the right to refuse warranty service to any person who, in sole discretion of DeMarini sports abuses DeMarini product and/or DeMarini warranty policy. DeMarini reserves the right to perform any testing that is deemed necessary to determine if the bat meets warranty requirements.
No warranty without receipt. Please keep your receipt. This is a manufacturer's warranty. Do not return your bat to the authorized dealer. Your original dated receipt from an authorized dealer is required. Bats not purchased from an authorized dealer do not carry a warranty of any kind. PayPal, eBay or any other auction site receipts will not be considered valid.

Bat Care Low Down
This bat requires special care, as it is constructed with precision-thin walls designed to enhance performance. Be aware that your bat is susceptible to damage in cold weather (under 60° F), which significantly increases ball hardness.
DeMarini bats come with a numbered rotation index, rotate the bat one number after each swing, doing this will spread the hit load around the circumference of the barrel, significantly increasing the bat's lifespan.
Team usage will shorten the life of your bat.
Do not hit your composite bat against metal cleats.
Avoid hitting anything other than regulation game balls with your bat - this will cause damage and void your warranty.
Cleaning
Use only mild dish soap & water. DO NOT use solvents or ammonia based products!
FAQ's
Got questions? We've got answers...
- Q: What does BPF 1.20 and other association marks stand for?
- A: BPF stands for Bat Performance Factor, which limits how fast a ball can come off a bat. Several major softball organizations have adopted the BPF standard to determine whether a bat is legal for play. Softball has several major governing bodies. These associations create their own bat safety standard to determine whether a bat is legal for use in tournament play. Most DeMarini softball bats have been certified by the ASA, USSSA, ISF and NSA.
- Q: What is BESR?
- A: All bats used for NCAA and High School play must be tested and certified BESR (Bat Exit Speed Ratio). All DeMarini Collegiate and High School models meet BESR certification.
- Q: What about youth associations?
- A: All DeMarini youth bats are certified by all youth associations including Little LeagueŽ, Babe Ruth Baseball, Dixie Youth Baseball, Pony Baseball and AABC.
- Q: Do balls come off of DeMarini Doublewall bats faster than they come off of other bats?
- A: No. In fact, balls actually come off of singlewall bats slightly faster. The walls of a doublewall take time to flex, while a singlewall bat is tighter and more rigid, thereby popping the ball off at a slightly greater speed. All DeMarini bats meet BPF and other association standards. The outstanding results associated with DeMarini Doublewall bats are due to the bats' increased sweetspots and, of course, good batting.
- Q: Do I need to break in my composite bat?
- A: No. We don't recommend using a mallet, vice, baking or beating your high-performance bat against a tree. This will void your warranty and will not increase the performance. Warranty applies when the bat is used under normal conditions for which the bat is designed, and does not apply to altered bats or damage related to accident, misuse, improper care, overuse, or negligence. If DeMarini agrees that your bat is defective it will be either repaired or replaced.
- Q: How does cold weather affect bats?
- A: Cold weather affects the ball, not the bat. A ball's core becomes harder in cold weather, causing the ball to dent the bat. Some players think that keeping a bat warm before hitting will prevent denting, but what they actually want to do is keep the ball above 60° F. High-compression balls may also shorten the life of your bat, as well as team usage situations.
- Q: Is the aluminum (C405, C555, DX-1, SC-3) designation important to a bat's performance?
- A: General material properties have a minor influence on bat properties. Overall, bat design (i.e. Half & Half / Flex Tuned System) has a much larger impact on bat performance and durability.
- Q: What are these numbers that go around the base of the barrel?
- A: This is your Rotation Index?. As you use your bat, take notice of which number is facing you when you hit. After every hit, rotate your bat to the next number. This technique evens out the load and will reduce any ''flat'' spots that may occur and will help extend the life of your bat.
- Q: Should I use my DeMarini in a cage?
- A: No, batting cages can be especially hard on any bat. Extended periods of use with your bat are not advisable and will reduce the life of your high-performance equipment.
- Q: Can I clean my bat?
- A: Yes - It's best to use soap, water and elbow grease - they won't harm the surface coating or graphics. Steel and composite barrels are coated with hybrid powder-coatings, paints, special inks and clear coatings. Do not use acetone or other heavy-duty cleaners, as they will damage the surface.
- Q: Will DeMarini sponsor my team or make equipment donations?
- A: Thanks for you interest, but at this time we are not taking sponsor requests.
- Q: Does DeMarini have a general customer inquiry line?
- A: Yes, 1-800-937-BATS
- Q: How can I reach DeMarini Sports' corporate offices?
- A: DeMarini Sports
