Tour the DeMarini Bat Factory in Oregon

Take a virtual look at the DeMarini bat facility in Hillsboro, Oregon.

From start to finish, your new DeMarini stick comes together close to home.

Since our inception in 1988, DeMarini has built game-changing bats in the United States. The Hillsboro, Oregon DeMarini plant and bat factory hosts our innovation, design and production processes for signature baseball and softball bats like The Goods, Voodoo, CF and Prism.

The magic of bat construction begins by forming the barrel. Our facility cuts the shell of the bat to the proper length and forms grooves in the top of the barrel to hold the end cap. The facility then sands down the bat shell with a hand grinder and automated sanding belt machines to smooth out imperfections. Newly sanded bats will feature a consistent surface that allows paint to stick.

The DeMarini factory has two paint booths – one for custom orders and another for inline bats. DeMarini Plant Manager Nate Baldwin said every custom bat is hand-painted, so customers can know their bat is unique and crafted with care.

“Every custom bat, the color is mixed by hand and sprayed by hand,” Baldwin said.

After painting on a base coat, DeMarini applies graphics to give the bat its style. Graphics for all bats – both custom and inline – are applied by hand. After bats receive their graphics, they are transferred back to the paint booths to receive a final clear coat. We take the fully decorated bats, assemble them with handles, cut them to length and top them off with an end cap, knob and grip.

Once your custom or inline bat is fully constructed, we box them individually and ship them out to #DemariniNation. Find your new favorite stick on demarini.com or build a custom bat on demarinicustombats.com, then get ready to do damage at the dish.
